Top 5 Christmas adverts (supermarkets) 2014

Ahh this is my first Christmas post ever so I am really excited! I have been planning a whole bunch of  Christmas posts and now with less than a month to go I figured its now acceptable to start posting them.  I love Christmas adverts as they are the first people to get on the Christmas band wagon (usually early November).   I think all the supermarkets have really outdone themselves this Christmas with some great Christmas adverts.  So I have compiled a list of my favorite ones this year. I don't know about you but I can' help smiling when I watch them and it gives me that warm, 'fuzzy', Christmas feeling.

1.  John Lewis

2.  Sainsburys

3. Marks and Spencer

4. Waitrose

5. Tesco

Five things that get me through winter

1. Hot Chocolate

I love hot chocolate :) I think it is the yummiest, most warming drink in winter.  At home I drink Cadburys hot chocolate ( I stir into hot milk not water).

2. Cute coats

In winter I love to have a range of cute coats and jackets to choose from.  My most worn coat this year is probably a simple black pea coat from Gap.

3. Candles

J'adore everything about candles.  The smell, the warm glow they give off and I love just watching the wick burn.  Candles are definitely on my list for father Christmas :)

4. Good books

It's no secret I am a total book worm.  My favourite books I have read this winter: Wolf Hall (Hilary Mantel),  Bursting Bubbles (dianne Sheldon), Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte) and whole lot of books about World War One for school.

5. CHRISTMAS

ahh I definitely saved the best till last.  Sorry about the mediocre photo, I remember I took it on boxing day last year when most of the presents had been unwrapped.

I hope everybody is having a fabulous winter ;)

Sunday Summarize #2

This is my second sunday summarize post where I basically talk about what I have been up to that week.  So this week was october half term for me so I got a week off school (yay).  Monday to Thursday I had a dance intensive which  was really fun but means I haven't done a lot else this week.

Halloween

I had a really chilled sleepover at my house this year for halloween where we watched a ton of American Horror Story and ate chocolate covered  apples and mini mars bars (my kinda night!)

Cinema Time

On Friday I went to go see the film Love, Rosie because I kind of know  girl who's in it and thought it would be fun to go and watch it.  I really loved the film!  It's a bit like Bridget Jones's Diary for the younger set because the main character (Rosie) narrates the story directly to the audience.

Bit o' shopping

Tv Shows

I have also started watching a show called scandal which I love.  It's a really exciting political drama.

I hope everybody had a fabulous week whether you where on half term or not

The worlds simplest cupcakes!

I always want cupcakes but whenever I look up recipes they are either really complicated or have one or two really obscure ingredients. So to solve this problem I thought I would make a video on the worlds simplest cupcakes!

Enjoy

All the places I would like to travel.

When I did my All the place I have travel (view here) post I promised I would do this as a follow up! Obviously I want to travel to a million and one places but I have managed whittle down the list down to ten places.  You have to be really careful when researching your dream destinations as people often Photoshop places or take a photo something and say it was somewhere else.  This happened to me on Pintrest more than once! So I have been careful to research these place and make sure you can actually visit them.

My week in Hungary!

Arrived at Budapest (the capital) airport!

Okay so we went to visit my Grandfather and he lives in a really rural part of Hungary so my days were filled with reading, school work, eating cake, watching animal documentaries in hungarian and going to this little caffe (which is the only place I could get wifi or service) 'tis a sad tale I know.

I read Jane Eyre! After Pride and Prejudice this is the second ever classic novel I have read and i am quite proud of myself :)  I really really enjoyed it once I got past the language but let me warn you although there is a happy ending 50% of the book was kinda depressing.....

Yes... me and my family ate tons of cake every day;) The one at the very back is mine, it is called 'dobosh torta' and it is very delicious.

Having a little 'photoshoot' on our way back from lunch at the only restaurant in the town (Yes you heard me one restaurant). Thanks mum for being a great camerawoman.

Me trying to be 'artsy' and take cool photos like my sister does.....yep never going to happen.

OOTD: Autumn Leaves

I know these photos are a million kinds of cheesy but I love autumn!  Its my favourite season because I find that the heat of summer is nice but makes me very tired and numb fingers aren't always fun in winter but autumn is cool and breezy and really, really pretty.

I took these photos on holiday in Hungary last week, which I hope to write a blog post about soon.
